THE Basingstoke Bison injury woes continued last weekend, when netminder Dan Weller-Evans left Saturday’s game at Swindon in the eighth minute.
This ruled the popular goalie out of Sunday’s game in Sheffield, so Buffalo netminder Matt Harrison made the trip to Yorkshire, as back-up to Alex Mettam.
Weller-Evans joined forwards Hallam Wilson, Adam Harding and Paul Petts on the sidelines.
The Herd lost both games last weekend and Bison player/coach Ashley Tait said: “I felt our performance in Sheffield was a lot better and we were good value at 1-1. Their game winning goal came with the net off its moorings and I have seen goals disallowed this season when the net is off a lot less.
“We also hit the post and bar so we are not getting the bounces at the moment.”
This weekend, the Bison face a double header encounter with the Milton Keynes Lighting.
The first game is in Basingstoke on Saturday (6.30pm) with the return in MK on Sunday (5.30pm).
On Sunday night in Basingstoke, the Buffalo face Haringey from 6.30pm, while the under-12 Bison take on Cardiff which starts at 4.30pm.
