Basingstoke Town FC's manager is 'thrilled' with Basingstoke's recent form, as they look towards a potential league title win.
Daniel Brownlie, 35, has been manager of Basingstoke Town FC since 2019, having served the previous three dragons managers as assistant manager.
Basingstoke currently sit top of the Isthmian League South Central Division, having won their last 11 games. They are seven points clear of Walton and Hersham FC, who have a game in hand. Basingstoke have yet to lose a game in 2023, with their last defeat coming almost eight weeks ago on December 17.

When asked what had been the catalyst for Basingstoke's winning streak, Daniel said: "About eight or nine weeks ago, we had a team meeting. It was a bit of a heart-to-heart amongst the staff and the players, and we haven't looked back since. We've managed to sustain a great run of form, despite absences and injuries, and I couldn't be prouder."
"There's been hard work done behind the scenes and I commend the team. The club is unrecognisable to what it once was. Our teams, including the youth and women's teams, are doing well. The people involved with the club are passionate people who care about what we're doing, just as much as the supporters do."
Daniel added that before the season had started, a playoff place would have been seen as 'a good season', but after capitalising on other teams' poor form and winning all 33 points available in their last 11 games, the aim was now to win the league.

Daniel said: "We've got ten games left between now and the end of the season, and we will give our all to make our season a success. We're not here to make up numbers, and if we continue with the same application we have been playing with, I see no reason why we can't win the league.
"We have such a fantastic fan base that supports us both home and away, so I would implore our fans and the local community to keep getting behind the club. Without the fans, our club is nothing."
