THE Basingstoke Buffalo will be out for revenge, when the Solent Junior Devils come to town this Sunday (6.30pm).
When these sides last met in Gosport back in October, the Devils came out on top 6-3.
Since then the Buffalo have enjoyed a string of victories and go into this weekend’s Hampshire derby clash on a winning streak of five games, which has moved them up to fifth in the table.
Solent are currently tenth in the standings and are yet to win away from home this season.
Looking forward to the game Hallam Wilson, one of the Buffalo head coach, said: “We owe them from last time and certainly want to keep our winning run going.”
The Buffs are now halfway through their season having played 11 games.
Hallam Wilson leads the team’s scoring with 30 points having scored 18 times.
Completing the top five in the scoring charts are Paul Petts (19), Cam Buckle (15), Scott Anda (14) and Xander Robinson (9)
The top-scoring defenceman is Sam Compton with five points, while in the netminding department Dan Weller-Evans has a 91.8 per cent save rate and Morgan Parsons is on 88,7.
After this weekend’s game against Solent, the Buffalo’s final game of 2023 is on Sunday December 17, when the Haringey Huskies are the visitors.
