The Motorsport season is back again after almost a six-month break, writes Tim Crisp.
In the opening round of the CCRC Gulf Racing Fuels GT Championship, Jamie Sturges had a remarkable start to his title defense campaign.
Piloting his Ramair Filters Naturally aspirated Cupra Competicion car, Sturges clinched two fourth-place finishes overall and secured two class victories despite competing against more powerful opponents.
The races unfolded around the challenging 1.85-mile track situated in Wiltshire, featuring varying weather conditions ranging from wet to dry.
In the CCRC Hot Hatch Championship, Ray Ferguson made a return to action aboard his MG ZR for yet another season in class B. He secured a third-place finish in class during the first race, followed by an impressive second-place class finish in the second race.
Ferguson also had to contend with the unpredictable British weather, as sunshine alternated with rain showers throughout the race day.
