Teenager Ollie Webster narrowly missed out on a maiden adult hundred as Hook & Newnham Basics posted 266-5 against National Village Cup rivals Cadnam at the KGV, writes Mike Vimpany.
Webster was caught four runs shy of a century, top scoring with 96 as Hook rattled up 266-5, openers Tom May making 50 and James Watterson 35.
Plucky Cadnam were dismissed for 177, Sam Godfrey hitting 49 and Rupert Armstrong taking 5-23.
Hook & Newnham Basics will host Hambledon in the Hampshire group semi-finals at the KGV on Sunday, 1pm.
