HUNDREDS of people turned out to celebrate the opening of upgraded bike tracks at a country park in Fleet.
Pro mountain biker Sam Reynolds joined residents to enjoy the new facility at Edenbrook Country Park on Sunday, June 23, at a special event.
The popular tracks have been further enhanced with the addition of more trails, catering for both beginners and more advanced riders.
During the event, Sam spent most of the day riding with everyone there and took part in a train with more than 20 riders.

He said: “It’s great to see Hart District Council supporting the bike community, providing a space for young people and encouraging up-and-coming riders. I grew up in Fleet and spent my childhood riding around the area – so the next professional could be here in this park.”
Qualified coaches from local mountain biking group Mud Club were also around to help anyone who needs some hints or tips and encourage first-time users.
Cllr Dermot Smith, chairman of Hart District council, said: "The atmosphere on the day at the bike track event was electric. It was great to see such a large turnout from the biking community. Many of the riders commented on what a great facility it is.
"It's fantastic to see Hart District Council providing a safe space for young people to get outdoors, encouraging up-and-coming riders. It's a real multigenerational space where there is something for everyone to enjoy."
