Hampshire Cricket has announced that Ian Holland has signed a permanent deal with Leicestershire.
The all-rounder has spent the majority of the current season on loan at the Uptonsteel County Ground.
Holland joined Hampshire in 2015 on the recommendation of former captain Dimitri Mascarenhas, whom he met in Melbourne.
He made his debut in June 2017 against Warwickshire, taking the wicket of former England wicketkeeper-batter Tim Ambrose and scoring 32 runs.
He finished the 2017 season with 19 first-class wickets and 234 runs from nine matches.
During the truncated 2020 season, Holland achieved his career-best bowling figures of 6-60 against Surrey at Arundel Castle Cricket Club.
The medium pacer was Hampshire's standout bowler in the Bob Willis Trophy, taking 17 wickets at an average of just 17.
Overall, he played 111 times across all formats for Hampshire, scoring over 3,000 runs and taking 137 wickets.
Ian Holland said: "I will always be grateful to Hampshire for the opportunity to come from Australia and play county cricket in England.
"Thank you to my teammates, the coaches and support staff and to the fans – it was an honour to represent the Rose & Crown and I will always look back fondly on such an enjoyable chapter in my life.
"Hampshire will always hold a special place in my heart and I wish nothing but success for the club moving forward."
Giles White, Hampshire's director of cricket, said: "It has been a pleasure working with Ian over the years; he has been a player that always puts the team first. We will miss having him around but fully support his desire to play all formats of the game.
"We wish him well in the next phase of his career and thank him for everything he has done for the club, both on and off the field."
