Oscar O'Herlihy from Basingstoke Golf Club (GC) clinched victory at the Scottish Seniors International Masters 2024.

The gripping tournament took place from August 28 to 30 at Glasgow Gailes Golf Links.

With 120 passionate entrants, the event showcased some exhilarating performances over the span of three days.

O'Herlihy, a member of Basingstoke GC since 1980, and a three-time participant in the esteemed competition won the Masters Trophy, sealing his triumph with rounds of 78, 75 and 71.

Despite matching O'Herlihy's three-round total of 224, Andrew Stracey from Denholm GC was outperformed in the final round.

Richard Partridge, Wildernesse GC, took home the bronze medal with a score of 226 over the three rounds.

O'Herlihy's win solidifies his position as a seasoned golfer, exhibiting top-form precision and skill at the prime golfing event.

His victory will undoubtedly have a lasting impact, leaving a legacy for Basingstoke GC and inspiring future participants of this esteemed tournament.

John Fraser, Scottish Super Seniors captain, praised the event and its contestants.
