BASINGSTOKE Town produced a good display to draw 1-1 with in-form Welling United at the Camrose on Saturday.
Town dominated the opening period of this Blue Square South encounter, taking the lead 19 minutes in, Matt Warner sending the ’keeper the wrong way from the spot after David Pratt had been fouled.
Welling levelled the game five minutes into the second period, Graeme Andrews heading home a free-kick, and looked the more likely side as the game went on, but Basingstoke held on for a point.
